I took this picture on a hike through the woods. The big tree is the reason I thought that this picture would be cool to take. I wanted all of the pictures I took here to include the sky. The day I took the photo, the sky was a very bright blue. I wanted all of the photos to include the sky, so it would look different that the other photos I took of tree lines. I found this challenging to get five different photos that were all at similar angles, but still make it include the bright blue. I was trying to evoke a sense of happiness in these photos.

On the same hike, I took this photo. We passed many lakes, but this lake (Crooked Lake) was more interesting to look at. I thought it was cool how you can see the very clear outline that the lily pads make on the outskirts on the lake. The weeds were also visually appealing to look at. I am trying to evoke an emotion of peacefulness or serene in these photos.
Lily Pads and Weeds
Through the trees
Just around the bend
Continuing on this hike, we came across a lake that you could see through the trees. While most might want to go to the lake and take photos, having the trees in the background, I chose the opposite thing. I took a photos of the trees with the lake in the background. You can really see the colors of fall in this location. The red is on the ground, and the leaves on the trees are starting to turn yellow. I'm trying to evoke a curiosity in the audience.
Summer into Fall
Intertwined
Falling
This location really represents the colors of fall. You can see the reds, oranges and yellows of the season changing. I also thought that the the two trees in the front of the photos look like they are intertwining around each other. If you were facing this tree valley and did a 180, you saw a completely different landscape from the one pictured here, which I found fascinating. I'm not exactly sure what type of emotion I'm trying to evoke, but I would say a sense of serene.

Current
Faded
This location was cool because if you played with the light, you could almost see different colors appear in the water. If you look further back in the stream, you can see the yellower leaves being reflected off of the water. This stream was also surrounded by many different rocks, and had many rocks in the middle of the stream. The rocks made the current not as calm as it would be without the rocks. I think that the current moving fast helps the audience see the movement that is happening in the woods.
